About the project
This body of work explores our relationship with capitalism. In my short animated film, Feast, the use of cannibalism is employed to symbolise the destructive nature of our excessive consumption. Our cultural obsession with wanting more, and wanting it conveniently, is entirely unsustainable and will inevitably end in us devouring ourselves if we continue this way.
Inspired by the likes of Jan Svankmejer and Monty Python, my use of the silly and absurd is intended to cushion the confrontational elements within my work as to invite engagement, reflection and conversation around this topic.
